Dr. Rafat Participates in 18th Creativity Forum At South Valley University

Qena (Arab Republic of Egypt): As part of the educational, sports and artistic activities organized by the academic institutions operating under the umbrella of the Association of Arab Universities, the Assistant Secretary General of the Association Dr. Mohammad Rafat Mahmoud participated in the 18th Student Creativity Forum convened by the Arab Council for Training of Arab University Students at the South Valley University in the Egyptian city of Qena between 5 and 9 November 2016, with the University’s President Dr. Abbas Mansour and the Director of the Arab Council for Training of Arab University Students Dr. Ahmad Qaisieh in attendance.

Dr. Rafat commented that that Forum was entitled “Youth Treatments and Solutions for Modern Challenges and the Subsidiary Identity Crisis”. The Forum’s themes focused on technological creativity, academic research in humanitarian sciences, artistic creativity, administering and building institutions and community security.

In his remarks at the Forum, Dr. Rafat referred to the importance of developing and fostering student creativity and academic capacities, as well as highlighting them by ensuring the participation of Arab university students in the activities organized by the Arab Council for Training of Arab University Students. He moreover stressed the pioneering and distinctive role played by the Council in providing training opportunities

for the students and coordinating with the Arab universities to discover student creativity and academic capacities. He then thanked the President and faculty of the South Valley University for hosting the Forum and the President and faculty of the University of Jordan that hosts the permanent headquarters of the Council as well as for their continued support to ensure the success of its work. Finally, he thanked the Council’s Director for his efforts.

It is noteworthy that delegations from sixty two universities of eight Arab countries, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Sudan, Oman, Yemen and Saudi Arabia, participated in the Forum.​
